Summer Engagement Session at Del Valle Regional Park in Livermore, California

This was such a fun engagement session! I actually associate this session for the talented Nicola Leigh Photography! Last year Nicola asked if I wanted to join her as an associate photographer and I was so excited to help expand her team! An associate photographer is basically a photographer who shoots in place of another photographer. So if Nicola isn't available and I am, I'll shoot that wedding. And if the couple wants to do an engagement session as well, then I'll shoot that with them too :) It's the perfect way to get to know each other before the wedding!

Madison and Max chose to do their engagement session at Del Valle Regional Park in Livermore because it's actually where they had one of their first dates. I always love doing shoots in places where couples have fun memories because I think it makes it even more special for them :) I LOVE shooting at Del Valle Regional Park no matter what time of year it is because it's ALWAYS beautiful. Whether the grass is green or brown, nothing beats the views of the rolling hills and the sun setting over the mountains. Don't believe me? During engagement sessions, I always like to ask couples how they met and I thought Madison and Max's story was especially funny. Their mutual friend actually set them up and told each of them that they would be great together. They met at a golf event and actually didn't like each other. Their mutual friend was very determined though and started a group text with the three of them to get them talking and the rest is history!

We had so much fun at the session, did some twirling around and even popped some champagne. The sunset was GORGEOUS - seriously scroll down and look at the photos, it was so freaking beautiful. The sun was really showing off those golden hills. I'm SO excited for their wedding in Yosemite!
