ROXANNE + DIEGO
I LOVE shooting elopements! Thanks to covid-19, elopements have become a lot more popular over the last year and couples are being a lot more intentional with their wedding plans. I think we all used to think of elopements as a couple "running away" to get married and not inviting any friends or family, but an elopement can be literally whatever you want it to be! Roxanne and Diego invited their family to Napa Valley for their elopement so there were less than fifteen people there and it was perfect!
Roxanne and Diego met way back in high school, exactly ten years ago on the date of their elopement - how cute is that?! They invited their families to Napa Valley for their small, intimate elopement at a private vineyard and it was such a beautiful day. Laurie and Maddie from Elope in Wine Country did an amazing job of setting it up and putting it all together, per usual! Everything was so simple but beautiful - it doesn't need to be complicated :)
Roxanne got ready in the honeymoon suite while Diego hung out with their family in the courtyard. When Roxanne was done getting ready, all the family members headed to the ceremony site while Roxanne and Diego had their first look in the courtyard. First looks are literally my favorite - they were both emotional and it was such a cute moment. Despite having a first look, Diego still teared up when Roxanne walked down the aisle with her mom - for real though, how cute is that single tear?! Their ceremony was short and sweet, just the way we like it!
After the ceremony, they went inside to sign the marriage license and make everything official. Then they did some first dances and had a champagne toast with their family before cutting the cake and taking some fun photos.
Roxanne, Diego and their family headed to Bottega for dinner after we were done with photos for a wonderful dinner. It was just all around an amazing and beautiful day and I can't wait to see where life takes them!
