Proposal at Rombauer Vineyards in Napa Valley

MARK + CASSIE

Okay first of all, Mark and Cassie are literally the cutest people I've very met and I'm so glad I got to meet them and capture this moment for them. They're from Chicago and were visiting California for a couple weeks. And when in California, you obviously have to visit the beautiful Napa Valley!

I gave Mark a few ideas on where to propose and he got back to me and told me he think he found a great spot. He had booked a table at Rombauer Vineyards for a picnic and when I went to go check it out, it was BEAUTIFUL. I had never been to Rombauer Vineyards before and I'm so glad Mark found it because it was perfect! The views of the valley are absolutely stunning and their wine is wonderful as well. They also let you bring your own food in for a picnic which was a huge plus! They had a tasting earlier that day and stopped at Oakville Grocery to grab some lunch and headed to Rombauer Vineyards for a cute little picnic, where I was patiently waiting with a glass of wine and a magazine a few tables down from where they would be (so sly, right??).

When they got to Rombauer and sat at their table, I couldn't quite see Cassie because there was a hedge blocking her. She had brought her camera and I could hear her taking pictures. Then she handed the camera to Mark and he took some photos of them "cheersing" - an Instagram boyfriend hard at work.

After they ate, they walked over to get a closer look of the view. As they were walking back to the table, they hugged and Mark dropped down on one knee and did the dang thang! Cassie had that typical cute reaction with her hands up to her face in shock. It all happened so quickly, they both shed some tears and it was seriously the cutest thing ever. After they both gathered themselves and took in what had just happened, I ran over and introduced myself. I let them soak in the moment for a bit until they were ready and then we did a photoshoot around Rombauer Vineyard's beautiful property.

Everywhere we went there was another beautiful spot to take photos. Cassie is actually also a wedding photographer and she really knew what to do on the other side of the lens - these two made my job so easy! Between the views, the beautiful flowers and the great wine, Mark couldn't have chosen a better spot to pop the question. Everywhere we went there was another beautiful spot to take photos. After we took some photos around Rombauer, we headed out to take photos in some vineyards down the street. You can't propose in Napa and not take pictures in the vineyards, right?!

I had so much fun with these two and I can't wait to see where life takes them :)
