1. First Things First, Get a Wedding Planner

Time is money and having a wedding planner will save you soooo much time and stress and it's 100000% worth it. Odds are that you've never planned a wedding before, so turn to the professionals to make your life easier. I promise you won't regret it.

Your wedding day involves so many moving parts and there's so many different wedding vendors, family members and friends trying to get different things done all at the same time and if you want your wedding to be cool, calm, collected and as smooth as warm butter.. hire a wedding planner! A chill wedding day can only be pulled off with the help of an amazing planner/coordinator and experienced wedding vendors.

A wedding planner will also help you allocate your budget appropriately based on what's important to YOU and what you want to prioritize. Completely in the dark and not sure what to prioritize? Good news, they'll give you plently of guidance there too. They'll make recommendations, they'll find you the best wedding vendors, and they'll ensure that you have that amazing wedding day that you're imagining.

Just remember that time is money and investing in a wedding planner will allow you to enjoy your engagement, spend more time with friends and family rather than stress about your wedding planning, and prevent you from turning into that bridezilla that everyone is afraid of.

2. Hire a GOOD Florist

Unless you know what you're doing and have an unusual abundance of time... hire a good florist and don't try to DIY your floral decor. Arranging flowers looks easier than it is.

There's sooo many variables when it comes to your floral arrangements and decor. The most obvious factor is that there's different flowers during different seasons. A less obvious variable that you may not think about would be that different flowers require different preparation at different times. Or that florists order a plethora of flowers to ensure that you only have the most PERFECT flowers in your bouquest and centerpieces.

Floral decor is often overlooked but this is what sets the scene and mood for your wedding, so invest in it! A good florist will help bring to life what you're envisioning for you wedding in a way that your DIY skills probably just can't touch (no offense). I've done a lot of weddings and I've seen some really bad DIY floral decor... You may think you want something "simple" but don't forget that you also want it to be aesthetic and tasteful as well. Not to mention, floral arrangements shouldn't be prepared too far in advance and the last thing you're going to want to do on your wedding week is prep a bunch of DIY centerpieces, bouquets, etc. And no one wants a wilted wedding, amirite???

Just do yourself a favor and leave this one to the profressionals ☺️

3. Invest in Your Wedding Photographer

I may be biased but invest in your wedding photographer!!! At the end of the day, the photos (or video) are the only thing you'll have to look back on once it's over.

A great photographer will capture every detail and emotion while also making sure you're at ease throughout your wedding day. You don't want to look back and wonder why you don't have photos of you and your dad hugging before the ceremony or pictures of you and your best friends throwing back tequila shots at the reception. An amazing photographer will make sure they know what's important to you and ensure you don't miss out on getting to relive all of those special moments.

I also encourage everyone to book an engagement shoot with their wedding photographer, even if they already had someone else take their photos. Doing a shoot with your photographer prior to your big day will get you two comfortable in front of the camera and leave you feeling confident and relaxed on your big day!

Lastly, invest in a photographer that will not only deliver great photos but also give you a great experience. Your wedding photographer is going to be with you ALL DAY. So if you love their photos but don't think you would vibe well, don't book them!

So invest in that photographer you can imagine being by your side on your big day, whose style you love and who can showcase every detail and all of the hard work you put into your wedding! And if that photographer is me, then click here to inquire ;)

Don't be afraid to splurge a little on these three things! It's okay to stretch your budget in some areas and cut back on other things. Just figure out what's most important to you, set your priorities, and don't let the opinions of family members and friends get to your head☺️
